Pistol / Concealed Carry License Application: $200.00
DCJS Fingerprint Fee: $88.25
Total: $288.25
The $200 application fee also applies to a Concealed Carry License or Semi-Automatic Rifle License. If multiple license types are applied for at the same time, Nassau County lists the concurrent application fee as $200 total, rather than $200 for each license.

New Handgun License Fees

The $340 handgun application fee applies to licenses including Concealed Carry, Premises Residence and Special Carry, subject to the applicable NYPD requirements.

New York Concealed Carry Laws
A New York Concealed Carry License allows you to carry a concealed handgun, but it does not allow you to carry everywhere.
Where You Can Generally Carry
With a valid Concealed Carry License, you may generally carry in locations that are not prohibited by state or federal law and where the property owner has not prohibited firearms.
Private businesses that are open to the public are not automatically off-limits simply because they have not posted a sign allowing firearms. However, a property owner may still prohibit firearms on their property.
Where You Generally Cannot Carry
New York designates many places as Sensitive Locations, including:
- Schools and educational facilities
- Government buildings and courthouses
- Hospitals and certain healthcare facilities
- Public transportation
- Airports, train stations and bus terminals
- Polling places
- Bars and establishments serving alcohol
- Stadiums, theaters, concerts and many entertainment venues
- Times Square
- Other locations specifically restricted by New York law
Carrying in New York City
A Concealed Carry License issued by Suffolk County, Nassau County or another New York county does not by itself authorize you to carry in New York City.
If you already have a valid county Concealed Carry License and want to carry within NYC, you generally need to obtain a New York City Special Carry License through the NYPD License Division.
The NYPD describes a Special Carry License as authorization for a person who already holds a valid New York State county license to carry a concealed handgun while in New York City.
Important
A Concealed Carry License does not override a private property owner's right to prohibit firearms.
